1. except用作介词可表示“除…之外”,通常指所排除的事物不在所述范围之内,后面可接名词或代词。
2. except可接反身代词、副词、介词短语或状语从句,也可接(省略to的)动词不定式、动名词、基数词,还可接that或wh-从句。

v.(动词)

1. except用作及物动词时的基本意思是“把…除外”。引申可指“免除”,一般接人作宾语,且通常用于否定结构。

except和except for都有“除…”的意思。

2.前后有相称的同类语时,只能用except,不用except for。

这两个词都表示“除…外”。but和except都表示从整体中除去部分,但在but的句子里,着重在整体; 在用except的句子里,着重在除去的部分。
